Thomas C. Katsouleas

Thomas C. Katsouleas will begin his role as the University of Virginia’s new executive vice president and provost beginning Aug. 17. As part of this new appointment, Katsouleas will also serve as the Robert C. Taylor professor of electrical and computer engineering in the university’s School of Engineering, and will receive a courtesy appointment as professor of physics in the College and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Katsouleas also will direct the university’s five-year strategic plan as well as efforts to garner more philanthropic support for the institution. Presently, Katsouleas heads the Duke University School of Engineering and has previously held positions with the University of Southern California’s School of Engineering and the University of California at Los Angeles.
