Rubber Playground Tiles

An alternative to poured-in-place rubber surfacing is rubber playground tiles. They work well for smaller playgrounds and hard-to-reach areas like rooftop playgrounds and indoor recreation areas. These interlocking 2 ft x 2 ft safety mats are durable, wheelchair accessible (ADA compliant when properly installed), and made from 100% post-consumer recycled materials.

More durable and less messy than artificial turf, wood or rubber mulch, or foam surfacing, playground tiles come in a wide variety of colors and can be made into customizable designs. From a unified color to a checkered design (and everything in between), these safety tiles are eligible for LEED® credits and state grants.

Available in both 2. 5-inch and 4. 25-inch thicknesses, the rubber playground mats are especially useful in areas where fall-height safety is a concern (they meet the requirements of ASTM F-1292-04 of 6′ to 8′ critical fall heights).
