Nick Stephenson, an associate with education industry planning, design and construction management firm Quattrocchi Kwok Architects (QKA), earned the Accredited Learning Environments Planner (ALEP) designation, a mark of excellence that reflects the knowledge, skills and abilities of a competent educational facility planner. The ALEP credential, developed by the Association for Learning Environments, was designed to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance and identify those in the educational environment industry who demonstrate the knowledge essential to the practice of educational facility planning. Stephenson has been with QKA since 1997 and has worked in all phases of architectural services for education projects, including master planning, programming, schematic design, design development and construction documentation. Well versed in consultant coordination, green building practices and construction administration, Stephenson’s projects include the Mendocino High School Performing Arts facility and significant modernization work for Fort Bragg Middle School — both of which garnered design awards.
