New Pig Corporation introduces the two-piece Spillblocker Dike for diverting and confining liquid without absorbing it. The new design features two 5-foot dikes with built-in keystone connectors. Shorter sections can be used separately for small spills or combined to form a longer 10-foot dike for managing larger spills.

Made of flexible polyurethane, the non-absorbent Spillblocker Dike resists oil, water, and many chemicals. It is reusable and its 3-inch high, two-layer construction features a hard, durable top layer and a soft, tacky bottom to adhere to smooth surfaces.

Chloride Systems developed an architectural emergency lighting product utilizing high-output white LEDs (Lumileds). Splendore is capable of providing one footcandle average over a 50-foot linear path.

Splendore’s illumination engine is driven by two Luxeon V Star’s white LEDs. When combined with an engineered specular aluminum reflector system manufactured with Miro 4 (Alanod), Splendore maximizes the efficiency of the illumination system. The reflector design can be rotated up to 60 degrees in five-degree increments to satisfy off-vertical mounting applications.

Safety Technology International Inc. announces a pull station cover, Stopper II, which mounts directly to the wall over an existing pull station. When the cover is lifted, a self-contained alarm sounds, which draws immediate attention to the area. Someone pulling a false alarm will either run or be caught, helping to prevent a false fire alarm.

If service to the pull station is required, the cover’s 9 volt, choice of 95 or 105 decibel internal alarm may be deactivated. The cover does not restrict legitimate fire alarms from being activated. Mounting hardware is provided.
