Colorful new drums from Playworld Systems create an interactive musical playground experience. The products can be added to existing play structures or be grouped with the company’s bells and chimes to create a separate music center.

Played like bongos and available in varying lengths and diameters, each drum creates a different sound. Free-standing options include single- and triple-drum tables in a variety of color choices. A set of two drums can be placed on a panel and installed at either ground or deck level.

With the alphabet on one side and numbers on the other, the new ABC/123 Panel from Playworld Systems Inc. is designed to help kids learn. The panel helps teach younger kids the letters of the alphabet-both upper and lowercase-and teaches older kids word-building skills.

As students master the alphabet, the company says they can then move on to the other side of the panel and learn to identify their numbers.

SkateWave, a division of Landscape Structures Inc., created a modular Skatepark system that consists of customizable components, including ramps, rails, quarter-pipes, mini half pipes, jumps, pyramids, spines, fun boxes, and launch boxes. The parts can be reconfigured.

The company says it designed SkateWave to address school and park directors’ four most critical needs: flexibility, interchangeability, durability, and safety.

Landscape Structures has introduced the Star Seeker, a three-sided climber constructed out of SpaceCable Climbing Cable. The Star Seeker challenges children with three separate climbing routes supported by a mast-like central steel post. It can accommodate many children at one time, and can be used as an independent play event or linked directly to a PlayBooster play system.

Miracle, a division of PlayPower Inc., introduces the Mega Tower, a giant, three-level structure that provides kids with safe, enclosed access to a play environment. It has oversized stacked octagon decks with as many as eight play activities at each level. The Mega Tower represents the continued trend of bigger playgrounds, aimed at challenging kids with new and exciting things to do.

Soft Play LLC just introduced a new line of commercial playground equipment called Kids Corner. Designed for children ages 2 – 5 years, Kids Corner is suitable for small spaces in either indoor or outdoor applications.

An interactive musical playground experience can be created with the new colorful chimes from Playworld Systems. They can be easily added to existing play structures or areas, or be grouped with bells and drums-also from Playworld Systems-to create a separate music center. Three different chime sets provide six different tones and can be placed on panels or banners.

The chime banner displays one set, while the chime panel holds two or three sets and is an accessible activity.

Landscape Structures introduced the Conical Climber, a playground event that features real climbing-gym style handholds mounted on a flexible, high-strength PVC material. The Conical Climber provides a challenging rock climbing experience, and can be used with the PlayBooster and PlayShaper systems from Landscape Structures.

The reinforced PVC belt material used on the climbers is mounted to a tubular steel frame that is anchored to the ground. The movement of the flexible material within the frame provides an added challenge to climbers as they make their way to the top.

Most Dependable Fountains Inc. offers a line of outdoor water play products. The Play Tower 1 and Play Tower 3 complete the new Play Tower line.

The products are designed to operate by use of a metered valve that can be set to run from 15 seconds to five minutes. Each Play Tower offers a unique distribution of water ranging from a circle waterfall to gentle spray to a strong spout. By combining these units, users can create a safe water play park. Fountains come in nine powder-coated colors.

TreeScape comes with an elevated SkyBridge that’s available with optional underside climbing components; ground-level activities also are included in consideration of children with physical challenges. The unit’s green and brown color scheme was chosen to create a sense of playing within the trees.

The company’s other components, such as WildSlide and Log Roll, can be integrated with the TreeScape system. Those items feature direct-bolt connections and durable galvanized steel with five-inch uprights.
