THE construction sector has fared better than expected, driven by the mining industry and the federal government’s school building program, a survey shows.

HALLETTSVILLE – In May voters in the Hallettsville school district approved a $12.7 million bond election for construction projects at Hallettsville High School, the first bond passed for the school district since 1956.

AN INDEPENDENT school at Taree spent part of a federal grant for a new library on its day-to-day running costs.
