Stock Photo: While Frisco ISD has no plans to open schools next fall, the district is looking into classroom additions for current high schools as well as construction projects for new schools starting in 2012.
The South-Western City school board on Oct. 11 gave the go-ahead to district officials to apply for qualified school construction bonds from the Ohio School Facilities Commission for a proposed $6.6-million energy-savings project in the district.
After St. Johns School Board members recently viewed drawings of additions for two elementary schools, District 5 board member Carla Wright praised the plans and said it was good to see building going on. But Superintendent Joe Joyner warned the board not to expect more building additions any time soon because the district can’t afford it. “There won’t be any new schools either,” Joyner said …
