Alan Walker

Dr. Alan Walker is the new president of Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village, Nev. Walker brings more than 30 years of experience in higher education to his new role, including eight years as the president of Upper Iowa University. He is also the former vice provost for extended university programs at Western Michigan University, and directed fire and emergency training operations for Louisiana State University, the Idaho State Division of Vocational Education and the University of Kansas. Walker received a Ph.D. in higher education policy administration from the University of Kansas. He also holds both a master’s degree in vocational/adult education and a Bachelor of Science in trade and industrial technical education from the University of Idaho.
