The Board of Trustees of New York University recently announced the appointment of Vice Chancellor Andrew Hamilton as the university’s 16th president. Hamilton — a noted chemist, Fellow of the Royal Society and former Provost of Yale — will take up his duties in January 2016. At Yale, Hamilton was also the Benjamin Silliman Professor of Chemistry and Professor of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry.
