Program to Sponsor $5 Million in Grants

MONETT, Mo. — Miracle Recreation Equipment Co. is offering up to $5 million in grant money to help schools purchase the company’s recreational equipment as part of its Miracle’s Grant for America’s Schools Program.

The program will fund the construction of more than 1,200 playgrounds throughout the United States and will offer equipment that will benefit an estimated 60,000 children, according to the company. The purpose of the program is to encourage free play among children, which helps them develop social skills, learn to resolve conflicts and encourages a healthy lifestyle, says Mike Sutton, director of the company sales.

Grant recipients will be selected based on the playground proposal, application and local requirements.
