CULBERTSON,MONT — The bang-bang-bang of construction work occasionally interrupted staff during its inservice Tuesday.

A new Charles E. Perry Elementary School is scheduled to begin construction this fall, a move that seeks to benefit the local community but comes with a long-term monetary commitment by Sampson County — it is just another the county will be shouldering in annual debt service for school construction.

A construction worker with a criminal history is arrested while working at a new school.

A construction worker working at the job site for the new Friendswood Junior High was arrested for heroin possession on Thursday (Sept. 2) at approximately 6:48 p.m. at the campus located at 1000 Manison Parkway. The arrest occurred after school hours and students had left the campus for the day.

Construction crews and consultants returned to Joseph Estabrook Elementary School in Lexington yesterday to blow fresh air into the building after finding higher than expected levels of toxic chemicals earlier this week. Lexington Kentucky – United States – Lexington – Education – Counties

In a letter to parents this week, Donna McCormick-Miller, principal of Makefield Elementary School, said the school’s new opening day will be Tuesday, Sept. 7, instead of Sept. 1 due to the ongoing renovation and construction at the school.

WOODSFIELD – A major step was taken Thursday night when six contracts were awarded for construction of the new Beallsville School facilities, which are part of a $86.4 million building project in the Switzerland of Ohio Local School District.
