20,000 feet of cable stolen from elementary school construction site

DELAND — Thieves took off with $11,000 worth of phone cable from an elementary school being built on Hazen Road, police said. Police are investigating the incident in which 20,000 feet of telephone cable was stolen over the weekend, said DeLand police Sgt. John Anderson.
