Fifteen Tennessee communities will receive loans for new construction projects through the state’s Qualified School Construction Bond program with no net interest costs.

Over the last eight years, since Martinson joined the board, District 2 in east Huntsville has received the lion’s share of money for new school construction, roughly 10 times more than south Huntsvile. Martinson is stepping down in November.
