It takes a village to raise a child, and in Brookfield, it takes one to build the children’s school. Superintendent Tim Saxton and construction manager Dan Doyle said the K-12 building, which features three gyms, new security and numerous technology upgrades, has been a community effort from the start.
Students and parents were able to “sneak a peak” at Springfield Township School District’s new Erdenheim Elementary School Sept. 2. In addition to viewing the new building, students visited their classrooms and met their teachers for the upcoming school year prior to their first school day on Sept. 7.
With one week left to go before school starts, construction vehicles lined the Pine Road Elementary School parking lot Aug. 25 to put the finishing touches on the school’s $21 million expansion project.
