President of TMP Architecture Timothy Casai, FAIA, was recently awarded the American Institute of Architects Michigan Gold Medal, which recognizes individuals who are distinguished in their careers and who work to advance the professional standing of all architects.Casai has specialized in college and university facilitiy design for a majority of his 34 years with TMP, with experience designing or directing hundreds of projects, including more than 20 performing arts projects, a personal specialty.
Casai’s notable projects include the Guido Theater at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center in Dearborn, Michigan, the renovation and expansion of the Wharton Center for the Performing Arts at Michigan State University and the Seligman Theater at Detroit Country Day School. He received his master’s degree in architecture from the University of Michigan.
