Cornell NYC Plans for Roosevelt Island Residential Buildings

NEW YORK — The Hudson Companies and The Related Companies (both based in New York) formed a joint venture to construct the first residential building on Cornell NYC Tech’s Roosevelt Island campus. Construction of the campus is slated to begin in early 2014, with construction of the residential building scheduled for 2015. The design of the residential building will implement sustainable building elements when creating the community campus — set to debut in 2017.

Barbara Boxer

Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer of California has been presented with the Security Industry Association award for 2013 Legislator of the Year. The organization recognized Boxer’s “tireless dedication to school safety” and presented the veteran lawmaker with the award in a ceremony on Capitol Hill.
