Card Reader
The Ingersoll Rand aptiQ multi-technology reader, designed to read proximity and smart credentials, now also reads magnetic strip cards for added security. The system reads various forms of proximity, including the MIFARE Classic touch less smart cards and the MIFARE DESFire EV1 for air interface and cryptographic method access control. With its ability to read the serial number of most 13.56 megahertz smart credentials, the system can also communicate to mobile phones, allowing users to expand and/or improve credential technologies easily. The product can be easily installed using a quick-connect wiring harness and familiar standard wiring color scheme.
