Burcin Moehring

HDR welcomes Burcin Moehring, FAIA, as an education, science and technology principal in the firm’s Seattle office. In her new role, Moehring will advance best practices in the thoughtful planning and design of spaces that address evolving teaching styles such as collaborative learning, interdisciplinary interaction, teaching and research integration, hands-on and discovery-based learning as well as integrating the technology and flexibility needed for today’s changing learning environments. Moehring began her career 25 years ago at Holabird & Root in Chicago and also served as director of science and technology at Legat Architects. In her new role at HDR, Moehring focuses on lab design, project management and business development. Her career has also included influential leadership positions with professional organizations including AIA Chicago’s Committee on Architecture for Education and the Society for College and University Planning North Central Region.
