Unlike most school construction projects that focus on tearing down the old to make way for the new, a historic private school is trying to recapture its past.

The recession was responsible for a failed motion regarding the Mauston High School’s construction class during the School District of Mauston board meeting Monday.

ASHLAND Children across the Ashland-Greenwood school district are thanking Mother Nature for a few extra days of summer vacation.

New construction is underway at Lockeford Elementary School to house seventhand eighth-graders. The $8.5 million project was originally approved in 2002 as part of the district’s Measure K bond.
