Jim Determan

Architectural and interior design firm Hord Coplan Macht has announced the promotion of Jim Determan, AIA, to principal. A member of the firm’s education studio. Determan specializes in the design of K-12 private and public schools and university buildings. Determan is the past president of the American Institute of Architect’s Baltimore office, and a former regional director for the AIA.

Corgan Associates, a U.S.-based architecture and interior design firm headquartered in Dallas, recently named Ryan Connell as an associate. Connell joined Corgan more than five years ago as an intern with the school design team before working on several high profile projects, such as the W.H. Adamson High School and Honey Grove High buildings, both in Texas.
Barbara Goebel

Architecture and design firm Kingscott Associates of Kalamazoo, Mich., hired Barbara Goebel as business development representative. Goebel, a long-time educator, school district administrator, and superintendent, will oversee K-12 business development, assisting school districts in the planning and passing of their bond issues.

Bill Isaak joined Montag Windows & Doors as vice president of sales. In his new role, Isaak will manage the dealer network alliance program, which includes dealer development, product education and sales training. Isaak will work out of the company’s offices in Roswell, Ga.
R. Michael Walden

Leo A Daly architectural firm promoted R. Michael Walden to vice president, director of design, at the Los Angeles office. Prior to joining Leo A Daly, Walden served as principal and director of design for Nadel Architects. He was also partner in charge of design with Los Angeles-based Dworsky Associates.
Brett Sumrow

Architectural and design firm Corgan Associates elevated Brett Sumrow to vice president. Sumrow joined Corgan, based in Dallas, as an intern and has been with the firm for a decade, specializing in project and contract management for the education team. He has worked with a variety of major school districts and among his achievements are the 30 new campuses for the Frisco Independent School District in Frisco, Texas.
