The Viking Corporation, a supplier of fire protection devices, announces the release of concealed dry pendent sprinklers. This new line includes both standard response and quick response versions for both standard coverage and extended coverage applications. The push-on, thread-off cover design allows for easy installation after the system has been tested and the ceiling has been finished.
Wheelock offers a variety of computer-based tools to assist the design and installation of fire alarm, voice evacuation and facility communications systems. Among these tools is NACTool, which enables users to build NAC circuits using the company’s notification appliances. The program calculates the number of appliances per circuit, as well as the total length and wire gauge, percentage of voltage drop and speaker wattage. It also provides the capacity to print out material inventories.

Notifier, a manufacturer of commercial fire alarm technology and life safety systems, announces its Onyx ExitPoint audible exit technology. The product consists of a compact speaker that produces broadband noise and is installed near building exits or along egress routes, acting as an audible “exit” sign. The system is triggered by the building’s fire alarm control panel, alerting building occupants to the location of the nearest exit using directional sound.
Eemax introduces its Series Twelve line of ANSI Z358.1-compliant tankless water heaters, specifically designed to provide tepid water (608F to 958F) for emergency eye/face and drench shower applications. The ANSI code suggest tepid water for emergency fixtures for 15 minutes where incoming water temperature falls below 608F.
Tankless water heaters provide on-demand tepid water, making them energy-efficient-the water is heated only when needed. The heater’s relative compactness allows it to be placed near the point of use, eliminating the wait for hot water.

Fire Control Instruments announces the new E3 expandable emergency evacuation system. The E3 offers modular construction and components that can be purchased as needed to expand the system over time. A peer-to-peer network operating at 625K baud, the E3 can be arranged as Style 4 or Style 7, using two conductor unshielded wire or fiber cables.
