Sensor-Operated Flush Valve
Moen Inc. announced the release of the FreeHand sensor-operated flush valve. The valve provides energy savings by using an infrared sensor to activate the flush cycle, which ensures efficient water use, according to the company. The sensor uses standard AA batteries or an AC adapter. Features include a 24-hour sentinel flush, self-cleaning filter system, operating pressures ranging from 10 to 120 PSI, manual override button and self-lubricating silicone seals.

Willoughby Industries Inc. introduces an ADA-compliant solid surface shower base with an integral trench drain. It is designed to help eliminate standing water outside ADA shower bases. The unit features a molded, one-piece design and incorporates a 1-inch-deep drain at the front of the base.
The trench drain is pitched to allow water to drain rather than flow out of the base onto the floor. The product is manufactured with the company’s Aquasurf solid surface.

The dual-surface product is designed to pressure-clean hard-surface floors, using up to 1200 psi, and carpets and upholstery, using adjustable 150 to 500 psi.
The machine features a hose-management system and an in-line, after-the-pump heating element, which can heat water or cleaning solutions to 212 degrees F for carpet extraction.
A chemical metering system is also included to prepare desired mixtures.

Zurn AquaSpec introduces the new Temp-Gard III, a single-handle pressure balancing mixing tub and shower valve with a heavy-duty ceramic control cartridge. The cartridge can be removed and turned 180 degrees to reverse the hot and cold inlets. The ADA-compliant handle is rotational and cycles through the cold water before the hot. In addition, there are two integral service stop-check stops and an adjustable temperature limit stop.
The Temp-Gard III is equipped with a four-port valve with a tub port plug included for shower-only applications.
