Construction Begins on University of Findlay Business School

FINDLAY, Ohio — The new Center for Student Life and College of Business at the University of Findlay will marry academic space with recreational space in an effort to engage students on both an educational and personal level.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the new $23 million building was held on March 31 near the construction site, marking the beginning of the 17-month construction project. Columbus, Ohio-based M+A Architects is serving as the architect on the project.

The 45,575-square-foot facility needed to be UD branded, technology rich, bright and airy, welcoming and inviting, and sustainable — all of which encourage student connectivity.

Wash. U.’s Business School Expansion Earns LEED Gold

ST. LOUIS — The 175,000-square-foot expansion of the Olin Business School at Washington University (Wash. U.) in St. Louis achieved LEED Gold certification in December. The $90 million project was completed in spring 2014 and included the construction of Knight and Bauer Halls on the Danforth campus. Construction was completed during an aggressive 20-month schedule.

Samford University Begins Business School Construction

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Construction on the new 73,270-square-foot Brock School of Business building at Samford University began in mid-January, with completion scheduled for fall 2015.

Davis Architects designed the building, while Hoar Construction is serving as the general contractor. Both companies are locally based.
