Maryland County Outlines-$125 Million Maintenance Plan

BALTIMORE-The Prince George’s County Board of Education announced that it has formally requested county government approval of funding for a three-year, $125.8 million plan to repair 62 roofs and to replace 112 boiler/HVAC systems in its public schools.

The Board is currently seeking authorization to procure immediately contractual services needed to begin the first phase of repairs in the spring of 2006.

Projects at Brandywine Elementary School, Central High School, Clinton Grove Elementary School, Dwight D. Eisenhower Middle School, Glenridge Elementary School, High Point High School, Howard B. Owens Science Center, Kenmoor Elementary School, Mattaponi Elementary School and Stephen Decatur Middle School have already been approved for funding among the list of 122 schools and seven facilities in need of maintenance repairs.
