Proposed Dorm Would Add 706 Beds at University of Arkansas
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.-The University of Arkansas Board of Trustees has approved a proposed new dormitory, allowing university officials to seek an architect and general contractor for the project. The dormitory will include two four-story buildings that will house 706 students. An early estimate set construction costs at $50.3 million.
University officials say the additional housing is needed to match enrollment goals. There are currently 3,751 programmed beds at the university.
