Marlite Buys S.C. Slatwall Assets, Equipment

DOVER , Ohio — Slatwall manufacturer Marlite has acquired the slatwall manufacturing assets and equipment of a Charleston , S.C. facility owned by Leggett & Platt Store Fixtures Group.

Under terms of the purchase, Marlite will use the facility to manufacture its Displawall line of slatwall. At the same time, it will provide for Leggett & Pratt’s slatwall needs.

Marite previously had based its southeastern United States service center in Atlanta . Because a reorganization plan led to the closing of that center, the Charleston facility will take its place.
