VPS Architecture to Design University Art Gallery
EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Officials at the University of Southern Indiana plan to break ground this fall on a 5,000-square-foot expansion of the school’s Liberal Arts Center.
The new Kenneth . McCutchan Art Center/Palmina F. and Stephen S. Pace Art Galleries will increase gallery space at the university and will feature a flexible design to accommodate different installations.
Exhibition areas will be designed with movable wall partitions to allow the galleries to be used as one large display area or as a combination of two or three galleries. An entry gallery will serve as a foyer for opening events and as an extra display area.
Designed by VPS Architecture, of Evansville, the gallery will be located on the ground floor of the arts center and afford views of the university’s Reflection Lake.
