Fanning Howey Acquires N.C. Architectural firm
CARY, N.C. — Fanning Howey, a nationwide architectural and engineering firm, expanded its presence in North Carolina by acquiring The Roberts Group, an architectural firm based here
Fanning Howey, of Celina, Ohio, did not have an office in North Carolina prior to the acquisition but had worked on projects for North Carolina school districts. The office will be called The Roberts Group + Fanning Howey.
Fanning Howey specializes in K-12 school and library clients and The Roberts Group specializes in education and other institutional clients. Roberts Group employees will continue to work on their projects, while Fanning Howey employees focus on the educational and library markets.
Management of The Roberts Group + Fanning Howey will involve executives from both firms.
Fanning Howey’s portfolio includes Louisville Middle School in Louisville, Ohio; Heritage Elementary School in Stockbridge, Mich.; and Gross Point Public Library in Grosse Point, Mich. The Roberts Group’s portfolio includes the Cardinal Gibbons High School in Raleigh, N.C.; Hawfield’s Educational Complex in Alamance County, N.C.; and the US Environmental Protection Agency in Research Triangle Park, N.C.
