CSD Architects Expands Education Portfolio

BALTIMORE, Md. — CSD Architects was awarded the design contracts for a master plan for Prince George’s Community College and a renovation and addition to Hartford Community College’s athletic center.

The design team will draft a comprehensive facilities evaluation, including space needs, analysis of the site, upgrade recommendations, and construction and infrastructure recommendations for Prince George. The master plan will include recommendations to accommodate growth needs for the next 10 years and is expected to be completed in August.

At the Hartford campus, the company will work on a two-phase, $25 million renovation and addition project. About 48,000 square feet of the bi-level athletic center will be renovated. The project will result in improvements to the stadium field and the fitness center.

The second phase of the project includes a new gymnasium, natatorium, therapy pool, classrooms, dance studio and training rooms. The project will result in about 35,000 additional square feet at the campus, says Sharon Pula, communications manager for the firm.
