A fire started at the Louisiana New School Academy this afternoon when construction workers were heating tar on the roof and gutter system of the building, according to a Baton Rouge Fire Department news release.
The Brookings School Board talked phones and food at its regular monthly meeting earlier this week, as members looked at end-of-year expenses and projections for next year.
