One of the proposed savings for the Mobile County school system for this upcoming year is to slide over $2.9 million previously designated for construction to cover daily operation expenses. The problem, according to board member Levon Manzie, is $1.3 million of that was designated for his district, which includes downtown Mobile and surrounding communities.
