John Sumlin

John Sumlin, sales vice president of education with Tandus Flooring, was awarded the prestigious Eagle Award from the APPA international association of educational facilities professionals. The Eagle Award, APPA’s highest honor for a business partner, is presented to an individual who, on behalf of the company, partners with APPA on new and effective projects, initiatives and programs to advance the educational field. Only 16 such awards have been bestowed by APPA during its nearly 100-year history of promoting excellence in all phases of educational facilities management. Sumlin has worked in the education market for Tandus Flooring for nearly 10 years and is an active participant in APPA and CEFPI. The native Atlantan lives and works in Atlanta and is a 1985 graduate of the University of Georgia.
