Acuity Brands Inc. has expanded its LED indoor ambient lighting portfolio with the launch of the Lithonia Lighting STLED luminaire. The lumniaire features improved efficacy and delivers solid performance, design and user simplicity, according to the company. Its luminaire design complements other LED architectural lighting products from Acuity Brands. The embedded controls in the luminaire allows for continuous system performance monitoring for constant lumen maintenance and promoting simple "plug-and-play" network.


The Clark County School District Board of Trustees elected Linda Young to serve as president, leading the board in improving student achievement. Representing District C, Young has been an employee of the Clark County School District for over 32 years. Her educational career spans in the Ohio, Colorado, and Nevada regions.

BELLEVILLE, Ill. — Southern Illinois College in Belleville, Ill. will receive LEED certification for an addition to an existing building on campus with completion expected by winter 2012.
SAN FRANCISCO — University of the Pacific’s School of Dentistry will move to a seven-story building in downtown San Francisco by 2014. The school has been working on the project for several years — doing preliminary studies, programming and building selection—but just recently hired an architectural firm for the design.
