Lance Hosey

HMC Architects announced recently that Lance Hosey, FAIA, LEED Fellow has joined the firm as chief impact officer, a first for both the firm and the design industry. Based in HMC’s San Diego studio, Hosey will lead strategies to improve the impact of HMC’s work with a focus on sustainability, communications, research and thought leadership. Hosey will also serve as Design Principal, overseeing key projects.

A nationally recognized designer, Hosey began his career in New York working for Rafael Viñoly and Gwathmey Siegel and later spent a decade as Design Director with William McDonough + Partners, a pioneer of sustainable design.  He has led the design of many high-performance projects for clients such as Google, NASA, Palm, SC Johnson, Morgan Stanley, the University of California, and California State University.
