Ann Barolak, AIA, MBA, is the new Education & Science Principal with the Philadelphia office of HDR. She brings nearly two decades of experience shaping higher education environments — as well as expertise in programming, design and client service — to the role.
Barolak has led pursuit teams for more than 150 projects ranging from science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) buildings and medical research spaces to libraries, student housing and campus support buildings. She applies her passion for excellence across proposal development, client interviews, and sector-specific marketing efforts.
In this new role, Barolak will work to strengthen relationships with colleges and universities across the Northeast. She is an active member of the Society for College and University Planning and is also involved with the Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers and the National Association of College and University Business Officers. She was previously Vice President for the Philadelphia office of STV, prior to which she was a project executive at Page Southerland Page Inc.
