Stephanie Leedom, AIA, has joined CannonDesign as a regional executive director, overseeing the firm’s Great Lakes offices. Leedom’s previously held roles at the General Services Administration’s Public Buildings Service and at the Department of State’s Overseas Buildings Operations. She will oversee the firm’s offices in Buffalo, N.Y., Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Toronto, Ontario, as a member of CannonDesign’s firmwide leadership. In recent years, Leedom has been an at-large representative to the AIA Strategic Council, serving in an advisory capacity to the AIA board. Through this work, she has engaged with the industry and peers, leading efforts on equity and connected communities. She brings 25 years of architecture and urban design experience to the role, beginning her career in Chicago at DeStefano + Partners in 2001 working on urban design projects for the City of Chicago and Northwestern University. She earned a master’s degree in urban design at the University of Michigan and joined Zimmer Gunsul Frasca in Los Angeles office as part of their urban design group.
