John Storti Named Interim Vice Chancellor of Administration & Facilities at UMass Dartmouth

On Sept. 2, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Chancellor Mark A. Fuller, Ph.D., announced that John Storti will be joining UMass Dartmouth on Sept. 14 as Interim Vice Chancellor of Administration & Facilities, following David Gingerella’s retirement.

On Sept. 2, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth Chancellor Mark A. Fuller, Ph.D., announced that John Storti will be joining UMass Dartmouth on Sept. 14 as Interim Vice Chancellor of Administration & Facilities, following David Gingerella’s retirement. Storti brings an extensive background in the construction industry as well as 15 years of experience at R1 research universities to this role.   

Storti most recently worked at Brandeis University, where he has served for the last 11 years as Associate Vice President for Finance and Business Services, and previously was Director of Strategic Procurement. In this role, he served as a strategic partner to the university, playing a key role in developing and managing the university’s $400 million annual operating budget and leading the development and oversight of the $16 million capital budget. Storti’s work at Brandeis also regularly involved capital planning, construction, facilities, energy, athletics, contracts and broader institutional strategy. He was responsible for procurement and budget oversight of large-scale debt-funded capital projects, including the construction of a $135 million residence hall and the $12 million renovation of Brandeis’s dining hall. He also oversaw contracts across a broad operational portfolio, including capital construction, facilities, physical plant, information technology, campus safety, transportation, fleet management, dining and other auxiliary functions.  

Storti is a graduate of Moravian University and holds an Master of Science in project and program management from Brandeis University.
