Nearly 170 tons of vinyl wallcovering have been reclaimed and recycled by the Second-Look Recycled Wallcovering program since 2007. The program reclaims vinyl wallcovering of any make, and covers the cost of freight for customers ordering new wallcoverings that want to recycle their old product. New products from the company contain at least 20 percent recycled material.

Surface iQ, a line of non-vinyl wallcoverings by Len-Tex Corporation, is certified to meet the Collaborative for High Performance Schools criteria. Any school that uses the Surface iQ line is eligible to receive points under Indoor Environmental Quality Credit 2.2. The wallcoverings contribute to cleaner air by eliminating PVC, heavy metals and chlorine and using water-based inks, according to the company.

Marlite Inc. introduces Myriad Wall Systems, a pre-engineered hardware system of extruded aluminum framework that can be used with interchangeable panels. The system allows a wide variety of materials to snap in and out of the framework, enabling users to mix, match, accent, change and illuminate wall statements.
The frames can be removed with a putty knife or plastic burnishing tool, and are available in transparent, translucent, opaque and custom-made models.
Stainless Steel Paint
The Steel It is a stainless steel epoxy system from Stainless Steel Coatings Inc. that protects above-water structures from water, salt air, detergents and solvents. It consists of an epoxy primer and finish coating with a 316L stainless steel leafing pigment that creates a gray satin finish.
The paint is available in gallon and quart kits, and can be applied by brush, roller or spray gun. It is chip-resistant and forms a protective metallic barrier capable of withstanding a continuous 2,000-hour salt spray test.

DSA/Phototech Inc. provides the single-sided illuminated display, the SS Series. It combines a slim-face frame with even illumination and features an anodized brushed silver finish. It is good for large displays and can be clustered together to create a super-sized display.
The series is available in 23 standard sizes to 48 inches x 96 inches, and is also offered in custom sizes and finishes. An optional fascia allows the lightbox to be mounted into exhibit truss systems to create a recessed look.

The system consists of an epoxy primer and a finish coating with 316L stainless steel leafing pigment that creates a durable, chip-resistant metallic barrier. It is deigned to protect ferrous metals and is made to fight the corrosive effects of salts, oils, detergents and solvents.
Column Wraps
Royal Wood introduces a new column wrap design with a snap-lock function. The Royal Wood Wrap-N-Snap Column Wrap can transform a treated post into a finished column in minutes. PVC material eliminates peeling, painting, rotting or denting, according to the company. Corners that are pre-mitered with removable tape and a patent-pending snap-lock allow for one-person installation. To install, apply PVC adhesive to each groove, place the column wrap around the treated post or wood column and snap-lock the panels together.
