EPA Announces Top Green Power Purchasers

WASHINGTON, D.C.-The Environmental Protection Agency’s quarterly list of the top 25 green power purchasers includes five educational groups. They are the Austin (Texas) Independent School District (No. 10), University of Pennsylvania (No. 12), Harvard University (No. 21), Round Rock (Texas) Independent School District (No. 22) and Pennsylvania State University (No. 24).

These school districts and universities are also part of the EPA’s Green Power Partnership, a voluntary program designed to standardize green power procurement. There are more than 550 participants in the program. The complete list of green power purchasers can be viewed at: www.epa.gov/greenpower
