IFC Introduces Firestop Inspector Training Program
WESTFORD, Mass.-Developed and presented by IFC’s industry experts, the presentation enables inspectors and officials to accurately identify proper firestopping to ensure that building codes are being met. The ITP has been approved by The American Institute of Architects, and participants can receive AIA continuing education credits.
IFC also offers half-day, full-day and other specialized seminars for firefighters, architects, engineers and consultants on a variety of firestopping topics. These seminars are often incorporated into regularly scheduled building officials’ meetings as part of their periodic training requirements.
The IFC was founded in 1990 and is a nonprofit organization of industry experts who focus on making buildings safer through passive fire containment.
