No Summer Vacation for Maintenance Workers

WISE, Va.-For maintenance workers in Wise County, summer means repairs. The 10-person crew has a number of projects to complete before classes start back up. Some of the major repairs include replacing deteriorating brick at Appalachia Elementary School, renovating the science lab and repainting the gym at Appalachia High School, renovating the home economics rooms at Coeburn High School, replacing handicapped-accessible bleachers at the Pound High School football field, and repairing the deteriorating gym roof at Powell Valley High School.
