Texas Legislature Discusses Building Bonds
AUSTIN, Texas-Texas lawmakers are taking part in a special legislative session to discuss funding options for higher education. At issue are tuition revenue bonds. If the legislators opt to fund the bonds, the money would be used to build classrooms and laboratories, and complete unfinished construction projects.
There are 44 pending requests for tuition revenue bonds from colleges and universities in Texas. As of press time, no legislative decisions had been made.
