Unitime Systems introduces Unitime on Demand, a new Web-based employee management system. The subscription-based time and attendance system is delivered to customers through an Internet browser and can be used from any computer.

The 128-bit SSL security protocol provides data encryption, server authentication, message integrity and optional client authentication for a TCP/IP connection. Data is backed up every night and moved to a remote location for added security.

There is no need for a management information system or IT maintenance with the product, according to the company. Unitime on Demand is hosted in a secure data center with mirrored backup servers, redundant Internet connections, UPS power systems, and 24 hour monitoring.

The product is beneficial for companies that prefer to practice in-house management of employee time and labor rather than use outside services. The automated service is offered through a monthly subscription and can be canceled at any time. No hardware or software installation is required, and there are no upgrade fees. Product upgrades are performed on a monthly basis.
