Matrix to Enter Web-Based Security Market

DAYTON, Ohio — Matrix Systems, a provider of turnkey access control and security systems, has partnered with Brivo Systems to offer Web-based access control to businesses without on-site IT departments.

The partnership will allow small-budget businesses with minimal IT capabilities to establish an entry-level security system that requires only an Internet connection, Web browser and door subsystem hardware.

In conjunction with Matrix’s access control technology, Brivo will provide all servers, IT personnel support, maintenance, software licensing/upgrades, backups, redundancy and other software costs associated with on-site access control and security management.

The new system is expected to reduce costs for businesses and accommodate a variety of uses, from a single door at one location to many doors and multiple locations.

Sites with existing door hardware or output readers can be retrofitted to accommodate the security system, or businesses can purchase or lease new door controllers, readers and locking hardware.
