GameTime Receives Environmental Certification

FORT PAYNE, Ala. — GameTime, a manufacturer of playground equipment, received ISO 14001 certification for its effort to incorporate environmentally friendly practices.

ISO 14001 is internationally recognized for environmental management, measurement, evaluation and auditing. GameTime was awarded certification from SRI Registrar, an accredited registrar that issues various certifications based on international standards.

“Sustainable business practices are a key focus for us at GameTime and we are proud to add this distinction to our environmental program,” says Mike McWilliams, vice president of quality, global sourcing and logistics.

ISO 14001 was created in 1996 and specifies requirements for an environmental management system.

GameTime was founded in 1929 and produces a variety of play systems and traditional play apparatuses. The company focuses on child safety and creating equipment that provides access to physically challenged children.
