New Mexico State Agency Selects VFA for Capital Planning
BOSTON — The New Mexico Public Schools Facilities Authority has contracted Boston-based VFA Inc., a provider of facilities capital planning and asset management software, for oversight of its 89 school districts and charter schools — comprising 795 separate schools with 4,700 buildings and about 60 million square feet of space.




WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama recently announced a $447 billion “American Jobs Act” proposal, including a $25 billion investment to modernize at least 35,000 public schools to create jobs while improving classrooms and updating technology needs.
Jessica Hannan, electrical engineer at AMC Engineers, recently passed the NCEES Principles and Practice of Engineering exam. Hannan specializes in interior and exterior lighting, integration of daylight and occupancy sensors, multimedia presentation and sustainable design. As a LEED-accredited professional, Hannan served as the mechanical and electrical LEED Coordinator for Susitna Valley Jr./Sr. High School and Fred and Sara Machetanz Elementary School.
