School-Designed Textiles

Momentum Textiles launched two new lines of textiles suited for the school environment — the bold, color-rich Hula made with Crypton Green fabric, and Oath, textural chenille finished with Crypton. The Hula line is certified as Greenguard Children and Schools Indoor Air Quality product, and features a subtle ground texture with slub yarn, irregular in diameter resulting in random thicker spots when woven. The large-scale pattern, which includes colorful, hand-drawn concentric circles is especially suitable for larger furniture pieces such as sofas, banquettes, and lounge chairs, according to the company.

Available in six colors, the Hula line is designed especially for public space and university environments. It is constructed of 63 percent post-consumer recycled polyester and 37 percent acrylic, and passes 60,000 double rubs.

The Oath line features plush chenille yarn woven into a crisp grid patter, according to the company.

It is designed to be durable, but with a soft hand and achieves 204,000 double rubs. The line is available in 24 naturally inspired color sand neutrals.
