Structural Thermal Envelope System manufacturer tekR has enhanced its product line with Neopor Rigid Thermal Insulation from BASF, allowing for higher thermal performance when compared to standard Expanded Polystyrene Insulation.
Neopor, a graphite polystyrene, has a distinctive silver-gray color that comes from high-purity graphite contained within the polymer matrix. The graphite particles both reflect and absorb radiant energy, thereby increasing insulation capacity or R-value. With this new enhancement, tekR has made it even easier to exceed the challenging new Continuous Insulation (CI) building code requirements in a single step. In addition, this improvement provides even better environmental performance. Neopor Rigid Thermal Insulation carries the GREENGUARD Gold mark signifying it meets UL standards for Low Chemical Emissions.
