CLEMSON, S.C. — Clemson University recently began construction on its largest building project to date. The 650,000-square-foot Douthit Hills project will include seven housing facilities for more than 1,730 students — all of which will be interconnected by outdoor spaces that align with Clemson’s Tillman Hall landmark.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The new $93.2 million Veterans Memorial High School in Corpus Christi is now under construction, slated for completion in August 2015. This is the first high school to be constructed in the Corpus Christi Independent School District in 45 years.
In December, Wilson Architects, a Boston-based architectural firm specializing in the design of academic buildings for top-ranked national institutions, named Chris Martin, AIA, LEED AP, president of the firm. Martin assumes the role from Bill Wilson, FAIA, who will become the firm’s chair and CEO. Martin has been with Wilson Architects since 1995.
AUSTIN, Texas — A number of universities across Texas are seeking funding for multi-million construction and renovation projects in the coming legislative session, adding up to approximately $3 billion in funding requests.
