George Thomas

Baker Barrios Architects recently announced the addition of George Thomas, AIA, CPM, NCARB as associate principal and education practice leader, overseeing design and planning for the firm’s K-12 practice area. He has dedicated 30 years of his career to designing academic facilities throughout the United States. As a relentless champion of K-12 education, Thomas has a passion for school design that brings the best possible learning environments. Thomas has over 30 years of experience, including working as an architect of record for education facilities and leading projects for Orange and Seminole County Public Schools. He earned his Master of Architecture from the USF + FAMU Cooperative School of Architecture and his bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Florida.
